The Texas High Plains Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (THPPDD-Lab), located in Amarillo Texas at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, is managed by the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology at Texas A&M University. The THPPDD-Lab is part of the Great Plains Diagnostic Network (GPDN), a consortium of land grant institutions in the Great Plains region of the United States that provide plant disease diagnostic, as well as plant and insect identification services. The GPDN is one of five regional networks of laboratories in the United States under the larger National Plant Diagnostic Network (NPDN).
